Southeast Queensland has the highest rate of mortgage stress in Australia with home owners in Ipswich, Logan and the Gold Coast struggling most, new research shows.
International credit ratings agency Fitch found 1.3 per cent of Queensland home owners were at least 30 days behind in their mortgage repayments, slightly above the national average of 1.1 per cent.
