But seriously, I think we should just concentrate on defence, instead of being geared to fight in the global arena. Just my view. Our only perceived threat of a "push & shove" would come from Indonesia, and I think our Air Force could easily dissuade them. Some have suggested China might try and walk in. Well, if they do try, and its not in the US interest to confront them, we would be left to our own devices anyway.The US has proved that it looks after US interests first & foremost. And since the US is now involved militarily with Indonesia, we couldnt necessarily expect help there, unless its to safeguard US installations on our soil. And unless we had a nuclear deterent, we could not resist China however much we spent on defence.
