If we did as little for COVID as we do for flu the infection rate would skyrocket, the hospitals would be overrun and the death rate would rise dramatically.
Conversely the hygiene measures we take for COVID and our avoidance of crowds will mean a dramatic drop in the flu so it would be a meaningless comparison.
I have never had a flu shot and will not have one this year either, and I am in the high risk age group. Boost your immunity, don't impair it, even briefly.
