    There is no need to panic. The health problem that concerns the govt is that this virus has no vaccine(as yet) and that by virtue of sheer numbers of people that might catch the flu the hospitals cannot cope.

    Let me illustrate the point. Say 1% of those that catch the virus need hospitalisation and respiratory assistance.

    Say there is 100 hospital beds with respiratory machines available. If you have 1000 people with the flu and 10 need hospitalisation then again no problem.

    But if 2 million people have the flu then we need 20,000 beds-and we don't have the beds. And that is the problem.

    Within each hospital there is a limited amount of respiratory machines available. Therefore, the ones who don't get in and are susceptible to respiratory issues die.

    So now you have not had the flu but fall off a ladder and break a leg.

    Good luck looking for a hospital bed.
