What people need to understand is that TA, like anything else, is not a guarantee - yet it can provide high probability setups to trade long or short off. Another very important aspect of TA is that price action, if you know how to read it, can tell you what is going on behind the scenes. The smart money who have the deep pockets, leave subtle hints/footprints on the price chart in regards to what they are doing. Combine this with some pattern/time/volume analysis and you have a core of variables that can assist you in your decision-making BEFORE any announcements are made. I NEVER buy when announcements are actually made - how many times have you seen SOR rise then get sold into post announcements - it's a great way to lose money.
