I take it you in Australia, your friends sound like liberal Muslums because ...they have you as their friend and they may be westernised to some extent.
I on the other hand live in East Africa, no idea what the % of the population is islamic perhaps it 50:50.
here the two religous groups barely tolerate each other. Youth gangs on both sides on occassion can be be violent. The Kenyan police have an unoffical policy of shoot first ask questions later, in Mombasa they shot down one of the Muslum leaders a month ago.
I suggest if u want to be on a level playing field with me , that you get out of that soft n cosy place u live and experience angry Muslums on the streets of any east African city
