With Minara expending a large amount on nickel exploration, the opportunity now exists for the discovery of a large viable deposit(s).I understand the extensive drilling for this metal will commence early Jan.Who knows what they will find. I also hear that during the most recent drilling(the results of which should be known soon) high grade gold was observed. More than that I do not know at this stage.
Any gold as a "by-product" of Minaras drilling will be hcy's thank you very much. Isn't gold still rising and still somewhat of a well sought after mineral?????
Nevertheless, for Minara nickel is the main game. Any discovery(and they may just have some early encouraging indicators???) would obviously have a profoundly beneficial effect on the income earning potential of hcy notwithstanding the eventual possible reduction to a 30% equity in a nickel deposit !
Additionally,I am certain that the directors of Halcyon would also currently be reviewing the opportunity for a major gold deposit(s). In this regard, I would think it prudent of them to be negotiating a jv along similar lines to the previous arrangement with Placer Dome whereby, in that arrangement, any gold discovered which was less than 500,000 oz, HCY had 100% equity, whilst another "Paddington" type deposit(mine) was if I remember correctly, shared on a 30/70 basis. Not a bad arrangement. In fact, a very good arrangement!
In summary, I consider the stock seriously undervalued in view of the acknowledged great tenement address; the opportunity to unlock the FULL potential of the land at little further cost to HCY; the obviation of the necessity for any further capital raising or dilution; the imminent drilling program planned; and the pending results from the current drilling program( one hole to be diamond tip drilled early Dec. due to encouraging indications).
The directors have shown their ability to optimise the opportunity to fully explore the land with the ultimate aim of achieving a significant interest for hcy shareholders in large nickel and gold mines.
Does anyone suggest that with such a large investment in such prospective ground, they will come up with nothing? It therefore now gets down to the magnitude and grade. As far as gold is concerned, bear in mind that the nearby very large and profitable " Paddington" pit averaged 1.5g/t overall !
Now lets wait for further news from the Co. which I am sure will only add to the recent great new.
Cheers and have a good weekend.
