The planet is entering a Depression, if not then a Recession for the world and a depression in America. LME stocks are piling up, world is awash in commodities as it now appears and it looks like china's only just begun to slow down. Things most likely will get worse, and fireworks and explosions in the finance industry in USA are not helping. Be either in gold or cash, I recommend golding mining companies, I know PNA has gold so I'm suprised they got hit, probably not enough gold compared to their other activities.
