Mr M, Agree. Like all labor Govt's before and now they never learn from their previous mistakes. They some how think that by raising taxes directly they are increasing their source of revenue. Quite the contrary! It is by lowering taxes and removing ridiculous taxes that provides greater stimulation to the economy thus providing more windfall taxes, not the other way round! This is more effective and efficient.
They never learn! It's the "Robin Hood", philosophy of rob the rich to give to the poor and of course every one becomes poorer. Well not quite, I always find that due to inabilities of labor to deal with things economic that making money under their regime is a cinch. But, I’m afraid most won’t!
