I agree Kurrajong...trouble is climate is changing--that's what climate does. So, the skeptics have a hard time saying it ain't so. What we are seeing today is a strange, unlikely alliance (symbiosis?) between capitalism wanting to make a buck (at the expense of the poor and the taxpayer) and the Green left wanting to spread their "Gospel".

They represent the 2 main groups with access to the media these days--capitalists because they own the media; the Greens because they know how to use it. The human need to feel fear and be reassured is also a factor in all this--this fear was last seen in a big way during the nuclear scares of the Cold War.
