Without wanting to get into nit picking.....
"In statistics, mean has two related meanings:
1. The arithmetic mean (and is distinguished from the geometric mean or harmonic mean).
2. The expected value of a random variable, which is also called the population mean.
It is sometimes stated that the 'mean' means average. This is incorrect if "mean" is taken in the specific sense of "arithmetic mean" as there are different types of averages: the mean, median, and mode."
Regardless lets say that the "mode" is probably a better descriptor of what I was thinking.
But I certainly wouldn't be saying:
"that the new graduate and the photocopier girl and the pizza boy are only being paid $150k." That is your guestimate. lol
