Informed political sources revealed new details about the upcoming Yemeni government , which is expected to be announced by a presidential decision, tomorrow evening, Sunday.
The sources said in a special statement to "Erm News", that the Yemeni presidency and the Southern Transitional Council agreed on the shares of all Yemeni components in the new government.
She added that the transitional council will get 6 ministerial portfolios out of 12 portfolios designated for the south, including the ministries of planning, international cooperation, public works, transportation and agriculture, in exchange for one ministry for each of the conference and reform parties and the inclusive conference, and one bag also for the Al-Mahra and Socotra gathering, as well as two bags belonging to President Abdel Rabbo Mansour Hadi will be agreed upon with the Transitional Council.
The sources indicated that the Islah Party, the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood, will take over 3 ministerial portfolios from the northern quota, which are sports, health and education, while the General People's Congress Party will also take 3 portfolios from the northern quota, the most important of which are media, justice and oil. Noting that the National Coalition headed by Ahmed Saleh Al-Issa will not assume any ministerial portfolio, according to the recent agreement between the Yemeni components, and many ministries have been merged and some of them canceled.
The sources also indicated that there will be no deputy prime minister, and no figure who participated in the bloody August events in Aden last year will be preserved.
Regarding military withdrawals, the sources pointed out that there are directives issued to the conflicting parties in Abyan, to stop the escalation and start preparing the atmosphere for the implementation of mutual withdrawals and the removal of forces from Aden. In preparation for the return of the new government, indicating that it will start implementing this within the next few hours.
