A leader of a conference in Aden called on members of the main standing committees of the conference to meet urgently to stop tampering with the popular conference with regard to its share in previous governments. Dr. Mazen Nasser Al-Kazami, a member of the main permanent committee and a member of the leadership of the Aden University branch, accused people who monopolized the General People's Congress’s share in government jobs for themselves and their children. Dr. Al-Zamki said: Two governments have passed and we are today on the threshold of forming a third government, and we do not know who is responsible for choosing the representatives of the General People's Congress in the government. Al-Zamki called on the members of the main standing committees of the General People's Congress in Aden, Lahj and Abyan to urgently organize a meeting to discuss the issue and send messages to the political leadership and those in charge of the Riyadh Agreement so that tampering with the General People's Congress by some of the persons affiliated with it is stopped, according to a post on its page. The activity of the General People's Congress witnessed a great lull in the past five years following the war, while members of the permanent committees in the governorates froze its activity and joined political components, including the Southern Transitional Council, the Southern National Coalition and the Southern People Congress, while some social activities took place to serve the people of the city
