Yes, I too think the prospects for QAD are looking up, but the orthodontically-challenged pussycat raises a valid issue - how come the Iridium global satellite network can make a buck now, where it couldn't before?
I think you might find, Sabretoothed, that the answer lies in the level of debt the old Iridium carried.
However, it’s incontrovertible that Iridium Holdings LLC announced it had reached the milestone financial break-even in late September last year at the same time it announced the appointment of a new Chairman and CEO.
In fact, it is worth noting this guy’s c.v., because it’s pretty impressive:
Before his appointment, Mr Carmen Lloyd served as president and CEO of Stratos Global Corporation, a major provider of satellite communications worldwide. Before that, Mr Lloyd held senior management positions in multinational corporations including Rolls Royce plc, Canadian Marconi Company, Pratt and Whitney Canada and Westinghouse Canada. As CEO of Stratos Global, he helped the publicly traded company triple its revenues over a three-year period while also raising significant capital.
