I think one of the reasons you may not have recieved a reply from the ASX is because anyone who is serious about and has the capital to set up a broking firm would engage legal, accounting and other such professional firms to do this work for them.

Therefore the ASX may not be considering your request for information a serious request worth following up.

I think you will find that due to the costs involved in establishing a broking firm, most smaller firms actually operate through a sub agent type arrangement with larger firms.
