Wow, there are a lot of rookies that have been hoodwinked here.
Couple of tips:
1. Do Your Own Research (DYOR)
2. Never buy a stock based on Hotcopper hype.
As tempting as the $1 by Christmas calls are, it's generally from a trader who would love to sell their shares to you at a higher price. On the flip side, the 5c by Christmas calls are generally a trader who would love to buy your shares at a lower price.
Stay strong. Read books, learn the signs, make your own decisions. I'm by no means an expert either, just my two cents. Learn to read the chart and then compare that against your opinion of the fundamentals.
