What I thought was a little strange was the lack of follow up of IG's assertion/opinion. Although Myer did ask a few times in a few different ways if these were the actions of a company trying to defraud, and he was clearly trying to get IG to say something different, he never once asked, "what makes you think that?". You'd think that would be the obvious question. My guess would be either a) he just didn't what to give IG a chance to air his reasons, or b) these reasons were already explicit in written statements. I would guess that the answer is probably a bit of both.
