1. it was probably the Jews that plagiarized. in the Bible, Moses (the law giver) previously lived with the Midianite priest Jethro, when Moses was in exile
2. the original forefather, Abraham, was a foreigner to Canaan but honored the local high priest Melchizedek
3. regardless of the above, all real religions share the same laws. moral laws (which Jews obviously struggle to uphold) are not rocket science
4. monotheism existed apart from the Middle East
