Yes, the Bible was written over 1500 years so It must have been written by many authors. Part of the evidence for this is that no one lives for 1500 years - in my opinion, you are spot on for that point. Were the authors supernaturally inspired as you appear to believe that they were, who were the supernatural agents that inspired them? Everybody has a choice to reject the teachings of the Bible - indeed, I think that you are spot on again. In my opinion, some of the directives in the OT are against what Christ taught. An example is to stone those who worked on the Sabbath and homosexuals who exercised their sexuality - I think of Jesus's comment to "let those without sin cast the first stone". I don't want to be the first one to cast the first stone. Within the criteria that you state, there is no other book like the Bible. Once again in my opinion you are spot on. --- As I see it we agree on 3 out of 5 points which in my opinion isn't bad on this forum.
