It is like being a Democrat and saving the criminal inmates from becoming victims in prison revoking their prison terms, like blaming the driver for being carjacked://www.criminaldefencelawyers.com.au/blog/what-the-law-says-if-you-leave-your-car-unlocked-and-windows-down-after-parking-in-nsw/

    Excerpt:

you hurdle out of your car unbothered to lock it or wind up the windows and dash inside to grab a glorious carton of milk

You jump back in your car.....only to discover that there’s a familiar-looking piece of paper stuck to your windscreen.Ahh, you’ve been slapped with a fine.

Is this republican or democrat or simply stupidity?? rolleyes.png To punish already overtaxed law abiding citizens for what?? Shouldn't the police be out there taking time to making their presence felt so that criminal activity may be actually curbed or else catch any in the act?? rolleyes.png

But alas, some low criminals 'may' enter your vehicle whilst you pay for the petrol - oh wait, it wasn't the 'criminal' who entered or approached your vehicle, it was the police who had nothing better to do but care for your vehicle's well being just at the 'right' time and wanted to avoid the paper work should a real criminal take off with your vehicle, so instead they generate paperwork in the form of fines and it's all for the sake of you being kept safe from any criminal activity.

Should a survey be done, one can only wonder how many people actually shut car windows and lock their doors when at a local servo filling up the tank?? rolleyes.png

Motorists already pay enough, some more than enough for the 'privilege' of car ownership - how about rewarding good drivers instead of always punishing them by the authorities - just because they can or are short of taxpayer funds due to ....

There were times gone by when there was trust and respect in the community - where one could leave door open of both a car or even their front door with the assurance that out of respect no one would dare to tamper with your stuff - days certainly 'gone by'.

Since perhaps the above is a little off topic - perhaps to get back on track back a question: is the vehicle safe should one have sex in the back of a car (or front) or if caught in the act, is there some legal act that would allow a speeding ticket too (some do refer to quickies)??
