I think this whole carry on about Abbott being a mysogenist is so far from reality that Gillard has opened the debate about her attributes, or lack thereof.
A woman has just as much opportunity as a man to climb the corporate ladder, I am sure it is just that fewer aspire to the life long challenge. I am not female but I am sure the maternal urge in most would be very strong and could easily usurp the need to sit in a boardroom for many.
To use the gender argument on the floor of parliament in an attempt to deflect justifiable criticism of the decisions made or not made says a lot about the underlying weakness of the individual. Maybe Gillard needs one of her union heavies who put her there in the first place to hold her hand and reassure her on a daily basis?
If you want to play in the big kids sandpit then you have to accept the knocks and the challenges that go with it! Grow up Gillard...
