Hi Picastoc, ah yes the old social cues that we used to be able to rely on to determine what was considered acceptable behaviour before all the litigation, HR departments, rules and social media resulted in society progressing.
One would gather in this particular case Kate correctly identified those social cues and determined a kiss was appropriate and wasn't going to offend, though I must admit I haven't viewed the incident so am unable to analyse what social cues were present. But hey that doesn't stop me from being part of the jury, these social media trials have rules of their own.
Ah but in this day and age if one makes a mistake and misreads those social cues, well out comes the rule book, social media scrutiny and often litigation.
Anyway, will be interesting to see what the verdict is in this social media trial.
Lucky we don't have more important issues in the world to worry about, isn't it. Perhaps a sign of that society progress that Froggy mentioned.
