I have tested quite a few charting and trading packages over the years and the one that I have found to be the best for my purposes and by far the best value for money (in my humble opinion) is a product called FCharts developed by an Australian programmer called Simon Haynes. It accepts daily, free downloads of ASX market data (end of day) from Yahoo, so it costs nothing to operate once you pay the very reasonable price for the FCharts program. There is a free trial version as well.
