It's really good to see so much momentum out there with new electric cars like the Fisker and the Tesla along with so much research effort into new lithium battery technology.
Perhaps the time really is right at this point in history for the next advancement in car technology to be adopted. The electric car isn't new, been around for 100 years(was superceded by the petrol engine) so now perhaps it's the electric cars revenge.
It often puzzled me as to why many great inventions don't make it until I realized that there are other factors determining whether a new idea is adopted or not.
