I`m testing my memory here but i recall a stock i owned call ESG, Eastern State Gas i think its name was....funny how you get used to the 3 CAPITAL letters (CODE) and actually forget what the company is actually called.

Anyway, that the share price i am sure was mucked around for quite a while prior to takeover and eventually an 80% premium was offered and accepted, as i said i`m pretty sure that was correct and i don`t recall ever seeing another premium like that again.

But i believe again from memory the price accepted was below its high at one stage.

Any similarities to SXY, probably not.....but something to talk about whilst we hover around the 40`s.
