Minor setback - have 15 days to appeal & should be granted given APT has the exact same structure & was approved as the legal precedent is there.
It seems, reading the judgement, they were upset that they started trading in Cali before obtaining the license.
It should be noted that APT also did the exact same thing - i.e. their Licence is dated 12-November-2019 and they've been operational in the US for 18 months... i.e. 17 months with no licence in Cali
IMO this decision was more for the DBO to stamp some authority on all the other BNPL companies out there who are commencing trading & applying later for their licences & SZL have just been 'caught in the crossfire'
All eyes for SZL are looking towards this month's 4C - continued stellar growth & a huge re-rate is on the cards.
