Last night Sezzle launched a partnership with US retailer Back Country.
This is significant imo for a few reasons. Firstly, it shows Sezzle is able to on-board good-sized merchants with National presence. Secondly, Sezzle shares the checkout only with credit card and Paypal, no other BNPL, i.e. this is what checkout looks like:
Thirdly and best yet, Sezzle has been able to steal this merchant away from Klarna, who was the previous BNPL provider to BackCountry, indicating to me that perhaps some US retailers prefer home-grown bnpl with certain features such as credit-building.

Imo it's possible that Sezzle can continue to capture other similar sized retailers from Klarna, and other BNPL, for the reasons mentioned in the news release below. Is this a new era for Sezzle?

Back Country is owned by Private Equity, so there's not a massive amount of info online but searches indicate they turnover around $1b in sales, and info from SimilarWeb indicates they have monthly website visits of 5.7m. That's a decent amount of traffic and could translate to new customers for Sezzle, subscription take-up etc etc
