Reading the above article is all fine and good, yes, it is important to keep your gross margins up, etc.

However, with the article being from August, the share price action since then suggests that whatever it is that SFH management is trying to do is not working.

Given the degree of the share price decline, a pre-AGM trading update would be welcome - the kind given to the ASX - not one to select institutional investors/broker analysts.
