True, there are an array of options for both generation and distribution. There are some smart systems out there for both these days that don't include diesel and only use solar / wind for small load applications in localised situations. One of these can be used for both static as well as mobile applications and the static systems (i.e. ground mounted) push out 1.0Mw by spindle or tag each unit and they can be packaged in to a 20 TEU container with a second one for the power feed source, LNG. the static systems can be grid linked to provide up to 20Mw continuous power at load or go smaller and they can provide co-generation (heating and cooling).

If one was to be supremely futuristic they could look south to Nolan Bore and get a JV with the current tenement holders for an R&D venture for power generation and the R&D taxc offset would be substantial as the CSIRO would all over it like cat on a hot tin roof. One teaspoon of the stuff would power London for a year and it is non-proliferation.

Anyway it will be SFG's problem to resolve in the near term if they acquire Legune Station, if not then they wont need to worry about it.
