Yep. I have a mate who wants to try very short term, repetitive, holdings. Negative- you may get boned by brokerage. Positive - free IRESS (depending on broker).
$2000 invested yesterday would be up 12% ($240) today, minus ~$12-20 brokerage on either side you'd still be 10% ($200) up. Especially if you're looking at the small ords. One of my holdings is 0.7 cents- and the smallest any share can move is 0.1 cents- a minimum shift of 14.2% on that basis.
Anyway, that's not my strategy... but would perhaps complement medium-to-long term investment quite well.
