"Good Oil" is simply a stirrer, one of those people that likes to offer a "differing opinion", but not in a constructive way most often.
Sometimes though, just sometimes, hes giving a useful viewpoint. His "Oh dear" nonsense is a good indication that he enjoys it. Each to their own, some people are bored.
