I update some insurance a few weeks ago, after the operator had helped me I asked her where her accent was from, she then explained to me all about the SA call centre and even promoted the area she was from and invited me over to SA (being a mad scuba diver I quizzed her about the coastline).
My insurance was pretty straight forward and you could tell she was reading off a cue card, but all in all I found the experience quite professional.
