SGQ Short sellers playing with fire and they will just get torched.Since 15 July 2025, there’s been a sudden spike in short positions on SGQ, a clear sign that someone is making a massive, high-risk bet against one of the most undervalued critical mineral stocks on the ASX.
SHORT SELLING SNAPSHOT:
From 2.6 million shares shorted to 20 million as of 21 Jul 2025 in just a few days, someone’s trying to push SGQ down but it’s not working. Price is up.
- In fact, from 3.4c to 3.9c, the trend is holding strong.
- This means: they’re getting squeezed, and losses are mounting.
- And guess what? They’ll have to buy back — soon.
SHORT SELLERS FACE BIG RISKS NOW:
- If SGQ goes higher, short sellers must buy back at a loss, pushing the price even higher.
- If lenders recall the shares, shorters will be forced to cover immediately, no matter the price.
- If buying momentum picks up, this becomes a textbook short squeeze.
