St George have to raise at least $A11M in the next couple of months to keep the project. It's in the acquisition announcements of when payments have to be made. Shorting now before the Itafos shares come out of escrow is a smart move.
Perhaps it's Itafos themselves shorting so they lock in a good price, and then return the shares in a month when they are able to sell the rest if that's what they want to do, none of us really knows..
Look at the shorts history over the last year. They shorted between 3-4 cents last August to October, then covered right around the December cap raise and the February cap raise. Made profits both times..
Does anyone really think this is a coincidence?
They know SGQ has to have another large cap raise within 3 months, plus the odds of finding anything exceptional by drilling in an area already drilled like Swiss cheese is highly improbable.
This last bit is what amuses me most, we get so much ramping about the upcoming drill results, without people thinking they are most likely similar to exactly what's been found in the past, with most of the high grade sections directly in front of the old tailings dam wall and under it.
