LNC, you are correct in your thinking that the broker makes a commission, which I know you are quite aware, the only difference being is he could care less about the spread as he makes his money regardless of the stocks movement up,down, or sideways and has nothing to do with the actual price fluctuations of the stock in question. I think eventually ,we may see markets that no longer use Market Makers and everything is done electronically via computers as that is the way everything else is going and is being discussed even now. I for one am all for it.
