If we assume there were no WMD and if we assume the findings released today are correct......
...and accordingly accept that at the time of the lead up to this war SH DID NOT possess a viable WMD programme......
......why did he play with the Inspectors?
Why did he not open his country fo all to see???
Why did he not defuse the situation as the massive buildup to war commenced????
Why did he not avert the war that he was GOING to lose?
Any ideas?
BTW......even with the findings...........there is no doubt that even the recent study says he would have recommenced a programme after sanction had been lifted and would have posed a bigger threat
After 9/11...this was an option ill-afforded.
