Had a very encouraging phone chat with CEO Frank Carr just prior to Christmas re his thoughts on Shannon's progress and future prospects into 2007. He's quite obviously c ock-a-hoop re SHA gold and nickel exploration progress to date and he's very excited about what the future holds in 2007. Managed to squeeze out of him a rough expectation of the SP this time next year. I had suggested around $2 value per share but in a very, very confident and knowlegable manner, he advised that $2 per share would be on the lower side of management's expectations for this time next year. The basic indication that evolved was that the ultra-impressive grades and strike zones that we'd seen in SHA drilling results thus far would prove to be far inferior to anticipated drilling and results in the future. Exciting times ahead indeed!
That said, and knowing of Frank Carr's previous outstanding successes and impeccable credentials, I left the call in a quite euphoric state.
Therefore, I'm looking forward with confidence to watching the Shannon story progress and unfold
in 2007, and beyond. Maybe he'll even do a repeat of the Carrick Gold story and monumental success in even quicker time here. Best of luck trying to buy too many!
