And I was leery as well, as mentioned by someone else here, due to the property development which smelled very bad as well. The third biggest shareholder is Cheung 'Clement' KO, who is a former director of GRR. He wrote the following in his pulbic resignation letter in 2015:
"My personal view is for an Australian-listed company, it is alright for a Chinese investor to either have a strong influence on the board or being able to insert significant influence on management. However, it would not be appropriate and should not have such a strong influence on both elements by the major shareholder," he said."
The CEO is also on the board, and was (in additon to that noted in my previous post ) formerly the GM of 'Shagang Australia', so, I think we can safely assume Shagang have undue influence.
