Prepare everyone for bad figures, only to announce good figures or and increase once the Quarter is closed out ... under promise and over deliver in an effort to 'look good' .... like you say @ChippyDude - as if they don't know what one 'additional' weekend will do to sales figures ? LOL
..... And if they are really struggling to increase foot traffic they could provide an incentive of (say) a 20% off sale on the last weekend prior to Christmas to bolster Q2 instead of putting that stock out at 50% off after Christmas Sale ? Just a thought ... but hey they have all the retail experience don't they ... oh hang on do they ??
