Yes, AVM really should be well above $2.00 in my opinion too and would have been if not for the abc report. Simply based on the performance of its peers on tsx over the last 12-18 months.

Those sellers sitting above a buck here in oz are not big at all and will be knocked off very easily when the time comes. Part of the trouble is that AVM had become a very tightly held stock. You can see that by looking at the last ann. report which, from memory, says that the top 20 held around 85% pre the last issue - and that doesn't include holdings in multiple accounts.

Already Bill's strategy of staged development in AVM'se new areas is making good sense. The recent unrest in Kolwezi demonstrates the social adjustment that comes with mining companies reclaiming mineral deposits from artisan miners in the DRC. Much better to have low cost plant in operation while this adjustment takes place and not risk a $60M SX-EW plant to a disgruntled group of independent miners.

AVM shold still have its day in the sun when the earnings and explorations results get a bit of press.
