You talking about me? I don't read Clive Maund much and can't recall having ever quoted him - although I appreciate many Gold bulls appreciate his technical analysis.
The article I link to does NOT state that COT data is inaccurate at all - I suggest you read it unless you know all there is to know about COT.
Further I am simply pointing out that many try to simplify what is not so simple to understand or work out with regards to COT data.
Further, the OVERALL trend for Gold is UP not down whilst short term it may come into weakness and gave my fundamental reasons why. Further for my mind there is no reason to believe otherwise unless some new economic or financial news comes to light.
What is important for people long Gold or who have a core long position is the overall TREND.
