Zugszwang, you posted:
"Why can you say this is the 'final shakeout'? Is this guessing (and hoping) because you are not fully invested yet?
Perhaps there will be another 'final shakeout' and another.
Actually, I think there has already been the mother of all shakeouts already (which I was silly enough to sit right through)."
My comment:
So you posted that you were "silly enough to sit right through" last year's shakeout, so obviously you don't want to "sit right through" the next major shakeout.
OK. You've convinced me. I'll agree with you - you were silly!
But apart from that how will you avoid being "silly" and not sitting through the next major shakeout?
Will you make use of charts and sell out of all your gold shares in anticipation of a shakeout? Will you sell out of all your gold shares when gold falls below some arbitrary number like $950 or $930?
Or will you sell out of all your gold shares once they have got smashed? How do you know then you are not selling out somewhere near the bottom?
How do you expect to make your 20 times or 100 times your investment?
Are you going to be with your crystal ball correctly predicting every shakeout and every bull run before they happen and then correctly selling out of all your gold shares and then correctly knowing when to again load up in gold shares every time?
Good luck.
