Hi Obewan,
Subtle geography lesson and understanding of EFS.
1. EFS has 3 (some say 4) fairways (or windows), namely dry gas, condensate, oil and black oil (the 4th)
2. This fairways are spread across many counties, COP was/is mostly in Live Oak, Karnes, Dewitt counties - all of which are in the condensate fairway (77% liquids & I think 70% oil)
3. Those counties are a long way from Dimmit which is not in the condensate fairway.
If you want to learn about our acreage in the EFS learn it from Anadarko Petroleum (APC). They even have a whole presentation on it.
I would also temper expectations.
1,000 bopd - no way!
For starters, our area has a mix of about 40% oil, 25% NGL and 35% gas according to APC. The APC quoted IP BOE/d (and that is not oil) is around 600 boe/d. Lets be crazy for a second and say the IP came in at 1,000 boe/d, at 40% that's only 400 bopd.
Comparing COP EFS to GGP EFS is like comparing Apples & Beans.
