Without getting into a long debate about what constitutes a shakeout, I will just say this, it can take many forms and to have one definition is myopic.
A shake out can be: Sharp and brutal, Small and sustained, Gradual and progressive or even a moving strip.
In this case I think perhaps a new term would do it justice "squeezeout". But i think the orange is dry and does not want to give up any juce.
My chart puts the trend as flat right now, but I am happy to go with you optimism and an uptrend as you depicted it.
Not worth getting into a debate because none of us really know (respectfully including you SS), just wait and see what tomorrow brings........
