I live in the UK and every UK onshore E&P companies shares has gone through the floor as it has become obvious that there is no political will for it at national or local level in the UK .

I have reduced my holdings in companies and may buy back later (and almost certainly at a lower price) if the situation changes over here .

For the last 4 years there has been debate about how to split up the proceeds yet not a single well has been frac'd . In Poland they call this "cooking the roast before you have caught it" .

The Govt was convinced that international investors could not wait to get their hands on UK shale licenses . Well the 3+ year delayed 14th Onshore licensing round has just closed and it has been a flop - International investors have decided to give the UK a wide berth and take their money elsewhere .

They are investing in countries with lower political risk like Argentina (sic) .

Her Majesty's opposition party , The Parliamentary Labour Party has just elected a leader who is vehemently anti-shale .

Think NSW and Victoria on steroids .

The only thing which will bring UK shale back from the dead is power outages and gas shortages this Winter or next .
