It takes 70 days to sell a house and my guess is about 3 years to sell a substantial asset.( coal mine etc ) I don't have any evidence to support this statement. However I do know asset sales are few and far between.
Stage 1 non binding bids
Stage 2 board approval
Stage 3 put deposit down
Stage 4 negotiate better deal
Stage 5 perhaps proceed !!
