If that shale fractures and flows well in multiple locations then over time it could develop into a very valuable asset .
Could be talking anything from 2 billion to 50 billion barrels recoverable - or zero .
It's not possible to value it like a conventional asset because of higher capex and taking a century to drill and recover all the hydrocarbons in an area that big and remote .
Just to be clear this is very early stage and the odds are against it being successful .
If like me you want exposure to Aussie shale oil then Linc would be one of the companies you might like to take a chance on .
Perhaps a 20% chance of success .
