Shale over Coal Seam Methane

Have UK Shale Plays triggered the end for CBM/CSG in the UK?

Having been part of, and subsequently watched with interest, Dart Energy's plans for CBM/CSG production at Airth, and other UK sites, with a clear message of "holes in coal, no fracking" which is consistent with their techniques to date for exploration and production wells, it appears that the IGAS takeover has been the death knell of CBM / CSG. In reviewing the IGAS presentation of 30th May, there is no mention whatsoever of CBM/CSG, only Shale plays over IGAS and Dart license areas.
Interestingly, despite the Dart assurances given at Airth, the IGAS presentation displays a total SHALE reserves figure at Airth of 8 TCF and with an interest to Dart of 4 TCF. This therefore indicates that there are plans for shale development at Airth, and only fracking can realise shale gas potential, and this information demonstrates there must be a 50/50 agreement in place also.
I wonder what implications this may have in the consideration of the current planning application, which is solely a CBM/CSG application.
