A few facts:

• s249D and other related costs - GW paid out of his own pocket for this, on behalf of all shareholders. The amount he mentioned at the time was some huge sum, unsure exactly but maybe $600k to $700k.
• had purchased over 30m shares pre and post taking over the reigns at TNG/TVN.
• importantly, continues to hold these shares as well as shares he has received via performance rights (has not dumped these).
• has worked tirelessly for 2.5 years and counting, getting paid unders in terms of salary+super (he could have earned more elsewhere and what he has earned may not even be enough to cover his s249D related outlays).
• has saved LTH from losing their savings (he purchased Speewah for peanuts with money we did not have and with TNG/TVN script that was worthless).
