I'm sure many of you know I'm a great proponent of people being able to state their view without being vilified for simply having a view different from others. While I don't agree with much of @outworld1's post (some of it has some merit imo), they have every right to express their opinion. I wouldn't have characterised what @outworld1 posted as "trolling", but just in case I looked up the meaning of "trolling" in this context:
"In online slang, "trolling" means deliberately trying to upset or provoke others by posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or offensive comments, or engaging in disruptive behavior. Trolls aim to stir up arguments, cause drama, or get a reaction from their target. The goal is not to engage in a meaningful discussion, but rather to annoy or provoke."
I don't think that's what @outworld1 was doing - I think they were, as a shareholder, expressing a genuinely held belief. I also think Grant is smart enough to know the difference. Grant has chosen to communicated with shareholders (and the rest of the world apparently) via X and other online platforms, and in doing so he should accept that shareholders, and others, are going to follow his lead and comment online.
I'm generally very supportive of Grant and what he and his team have done for Tivan and shareholders, but his X post calling out a shareholder as a troll simply for expressing their opinion disappoints me. I wonder if he would have said the same thing had @outworld1 (or any other shareholder) had voiced similar views in-persoin at an AGM?
